ANTIPOLO--Blackwater became the first team to be eliminated from the PBA Governors' Cup after falling to Phoenix, 81-93, at the Ynares Center on Wednesday night.

Eugene Phelps gave Keala King a rude PBA welcome, limiting the new Elite import to only 14 points, while he and the rest of the Fuel Masters joined forces in pulling away for good in the fourth quarter.

For his part, Phelps tallied 29 points and 26 rebounds with four assists and one steal as Phoenix continued its late bid for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals. The team, now at 5-4, is a full game behind Mahindra and San Miguel for the third and fourth places.

Arth Dela Cruz and Carlo Lastimosa each chipped in 18 markers for Blackwater.
