SAN JUAN-- San Sebastian led from start to finish as the Stags continued its magical second round run with an 87-71 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College in the first game of Thursday action of NCAA Season 92 at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Michael Calisaan led the way with 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Recto-based squad won its sixth game in the second round to improve to a 7-10 win-loss slate.
The Stags went on a blazing start, with Calisaan dropping 10 points in the first period alone for a 29-16 advantage. The Generals battled back to come within 31-39 at the half.
But the boys of Coach Egay Macaraya caught fire back after the interval, with the lead ballooned to 20, 72-52, and never looked back.
Allyn Bulanadi added 14 points, while RK Ilagan and Jerrick Fabian had 13 and 12, respectively, for San Sebastian.
Sidney Onwubere tallied 19 points and seven rebounds for EAC, now losers of 11 of its 16 matches, before being slapped with his second technical foul and ejected with less than eight minutes left in the fourth.
Hamadou Laminou recorded a double-double of 18 markers and 15 boards, while senior Remy Morada chipped in 14.
