TNT blows past Meralco in semis opener

QUEZON CITY—TNT took Game 1 of the best-of-five PBA Governors' Cup semifinals against Meralco with a 113-95 rout at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday night.

The KaTropa used a 39-point third quarter to pull away for good from the Bolts at the start of the all-Metro Pacific team series.

Michael Madanly led TNT with 22 points, two rebounds, and four assists, while Troy Rosario added 16 points on four triples and four rebounds.

Allen Durham had 26 markers, 21 caroms, seven handoffs, three blocks, and one steal for Meralco.
