MANILA—As anticipated, Mac Belo ended up with Blackwater as the PBA formally held its special draft for Gilas players at the start of the PBA Draft proper at the Robinson's Place Manila Atrium on Sunday.

Belo and the rest of the Gilas pool players were distributed one by one to the 12 PBA teams in alphabetical order, although earlier reports said that the special draft already took place over the weekend with the order of the first round of the regular draft being used, enabling the Elite, who own the first pick of the regular draft, to get Belo.

On the other hand, Alaska took Carl Cruz, Ginebra nabbed Kevin Ferrer, GlobalPort chose Von Pessimal, Mahindra took Russel Escoto, Meralco picked Ed Daquioag, NLEX selected Fonzo Gotladera, Phoenix drafted Matt Wright, Rain Or Shine took Mike Tolomia, San Miguel went for Arnold Van Opstal, Star picked Jio Jalalon, and TNT got RR Pogoy.
