MANILA--Ginebra and Meralco may be fighting for the PBA Governors' Cup title, but neither Justin Brownlee nor Allen Durham topped the imports in the statistics.
Eugene Phelps lead the statistical points race for the Best Import award until the semifinals as per a copy of the stats obtained by Dugout Philippines on Wednesday.
The Phoenix stalwart simply ruled the stats, dishing off league-conference-highs of 36.6 points and 19.5 rebounds a game en route to a 60.6 average SP's score, way ahead of Durham (54.5 average SP's) and Brownlee (51.7 average SP's) for the said plum.
However, Durham, who averaged 29.4 points, 15.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals a game, and Brownlee, who averaged 29.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks a night, can still win the Best Import plum depending on how the votes from various PBA personalities will be tallied.
The Barangay and the Bolts start their best-of-seven series on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
