MANILA—Adamson tries to complete the UAAP men's basketball Final Four cast as it battles slumping UST at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.

The Soaring Falcons, currently in fourth at 6-5, can clinch the last semifinal seat with a win in their 4 p.m. meeting with the Growling Tigers, who are still struggling under first-year coach Boy Sablan.

Adamson moved to within a win from the Final Four after a shock 61-59 win against FEU at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Sunday.

UST, on the other hand, came from a 69-74 defeat against UP also on Sunday that knocked the team out of playoff contention.

A win can also boost the Falcons' chance of clinching a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals as they are two games behind the Tamaraws (8-3) for second place.

FEU will take on Ateneo, another team chasing the Final Four bonus, in the first game at 2 p.m.

The Blue Eagles (7-4) booked the third seat in the semis after handing the De La Salle Green Archers their first loss of the season on Saturday night and eventually moved to within one game of the Tams for second with the Falcons win on Sunday.

An Ateneo win can force a tie for second place with FEU at 8-4.
