MANILA--It will not happen.
Golf fans will be left red-faced as the much-anticipated charity match between World Number 2 Rory McIlroy and third-ranked Dustin Johnson on November 29 is officially called off.
Supposed to be held in newly-built Pradera Verde in Lubao, Pampanga for the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, it was no less than TV5 President and CEO Chot Reyes who bared the sad news on Twitter.

Super-bummed that the Rory McIlroy - Dustin Johnson Golf for a Cause has been cancelled. Was told that CAA was in breach of contract— Chot Reyes (@coachot) November 16, 2016
The returning Gilas mentor had been told that the American sports agency CAA was breaching the terms on the contract, hence the cancellation.
Both golfers are supposed to play in the country for the first time, and Johnson replaced Number One Jason Day after the Australian backed out earlier due to injury.
