Chicago victorious in Wade's Miami return; New Orleans finally wins

MANILA--Dwyane Wade was given a standing ovation in his return to the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

But in the dying moments, boos buzzed the venue as Wade broke the Heat fans' hearts with dagger free throws to lift the Chicago Bulls to a 98-95 win on Friday (Philippine Time).

The former Heat star, who is playing for the first time in South Beach as a Bull, sank a pair of crucial charities with 13.7 seconds remaining to help the Bulls hold off their gritty foes.

Wade finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assist, and a steal in his only game this season in Miami. Chicago will host the last two games of their three-game regular season series.

Hassan Whiteside led Miami with 20 points, 20 rebounds, three blocks, and one steal.

In Milwaukee, the Bucks became the first set of victims of the New Orleans Pelicans this season with a 106-112 loss.

Anthony Davis tallied 32 points, eight rebounds, two assists, four blocks, and two steals to lead New Orleans.

Jabari Parker scorched for 33 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block for Milwaukee.

Over at the west, the Golden State Warriors mauled the Denver Nuggets, 125-101, while the Los Angeles Lakers climbed back from 19 down to turn back the Sacramento Kings, 101-91
