MANILA--Addressing the need for an inside operator, Phoenix agreed in terms with GlobalPort for a swap between Mick Pennisi and Doug Kramer, which was announced in the PBA website on Friday, signaling the commissioner's approval of the deal.
The Fuel Masters acquired the services of Kramer in exchange of Pennisi, who now joins the Batang Pier.
Kramer gets a reunion with Ateneo teammate JC Intal while providing the needed inside presence for Phoenix, who opted for guards and a swinger in Jeoff Javillonar in the draft.
Meanwhile, the ageless stretch-5 will now provide more veteran smarts for the young GlobalPort led by Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle.
