MANILA -- The first week of the PFF Women's League capped off with a Sunday tripleheader at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

With Ateneo taking an opening round bye, Hiraya, UP and La Salle won their respective matches to pace themselves with league leaders UST to end the first two matchdays of the inaugural season.

In the first match, Hiraya withstand the challenge of Kaya in the first 23 minutes before blitzing them with a 4-0 rout. Anne Fabon's 24th minute opener set the tone for the older newcomers in a rout of the youngest side of the league. Inez Achacoso (36'), Molly Manalansan (45') and Hannah Faith Luna (89') helped Fabon's cause to move to second in the table.

The reigning UAAP titlists needed a hat-trick from skipper Mary Rose Obra to overcome another UFL mainstay in Green Archers United with a 3-1 win, as Julia Panganiban notched a second-half consolatory strike that was not enough for Manji Marcellana's side.

And on the nightcap, the Lady Archers got its season going with a 4-1 thrashing of The Younghusband Football Academy which overtook the Lady Maroons on goal difference.

Sara Castañeda notched the third hat-trick of the budding league in just the first 32 minutes of play, yet Chanda Solite pulled one back four minutes later to reduce the deficit to 3-1 heading into the break.

Kyra Dimaandal scored the final strike at the hour mark to give Hans-Peter Smit a good welcome to the season, hoping to win a title after ended up being bridesmaids in the Cup and in the UAAP last season.
