SMB suffers double loss as role player Semerad torns ACL

By Jeckloy Acosta

MANILA - The San Miguel Beermen's coaching staff seems to be so disappointed after their team suffered their first defeat in the hands of Phoenix this Wednesday night.

Head coach Leo Austria rejected to have an interview with the media after their fourteen-point comeback and hopes for a victory became an upset.

The reigning three-time PBA MVP Junemar Fajardo regained his dominant form despite trailing most of the game garnering a double-double stat line of 19 buckets and 23 boards in 35 minutes of action.

The SMB squad suffered double-loss as their key player David Semerad needs to be assisted after subbing out in the second quarter of the game.

One of the team's medical staff said that the Fil-Aussie forward torned his Achilles tendon in a foul he commited against rookie Matthew Wright.

"Yun na lamang muna. Bawal kasi maginterview ngayon lang naman", the staff said limitedly.
