MANILA--Two teams making their presence felt already in the PBA Philippine Cup will clash on Wednesday night as the league returns to the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
GlobalPort, currently at 3-1, and Blackwater, now at 3-2, lock horns at 7 p.m. right after the 4:15 p.m. curtain-raiser between two squads looking to bounce back from recent defeats, Phoenix and Meralco.
Looking to duplicate their breakthrough semifinal stint last season and even go beyond it, the Batang Pier opened their campaign with three wins in four games and are currently behind the San Miguel Beermen in the race for the first spot in the team standings.
The Elite, on the other hand, continue to reap the benefits of having Mac Belo with them and are now closely following the Beermen as well at 3-2 along with four other teams.
Meanwhile, the Fuel Masters look to move on from back-to-back blowout losses against the Bolts, who in their last game blew a late nine-point lead and lost to the Alaska Aces.
