QUEZON CITY--Looking to add ceiling, Alaska acquired Jake Pascual in a trade with Star for winger Rome Dela Rosa.
Commissioner Chito Narvasa approved the said one-on-one swap between the former San Beda Red Lions on Friday.
The Aces continue to miss the services of centers Sonny Thoss and Nonoy Baclao due to injuries, and the acquisition of the 6-foot-5 biggie could help their cause while waiting for their injured slotmen to fully recover.
Dela Rosa, on the other hand, is expected to help fill the wing rotation that was affected by the departure of James Yap.
The son of former PBA star Romy Dela Rosa will quickly get his debut as a Hotshot when they clash with the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the lone Saturday offering of the league at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay at 5 p.m.
