MANILA--The U19 Volcanoes eye a bounce back from their loss to South Korea on Saturday as they take on Singapore in the battle for third in the Asia Rugby U19 Championship at the ISM Field in Taguig on Saturday.

The Junior Volcanoes suffered a 10-26 beating to the Koreans on Wednesday night at the said venue, relegating them to the bronze medal match against the Singaporeans, who were defeated by UAE later Wednesday.

However, the return of Gabe Lingan will be a good boost for the Junior Volcanoes as they try to end 2016 with a bang.

"To have him back for the [third place game] is a blessing. Gabe brings a wealth of experience into the playmaker’s role, the coaching staff and his team mates are happy to see him return to the starting side,” shared Assistant Coach Jakey Letts about Lingan, who had to sit out the Wednesday game at the 11th hour.

The Junior Volcanoes-Singapore game scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff is part of a triple-header on Saturday.

An exhibition game between the Senior Volcanoes' developmental team and Hong Kong, named the Transcom Shield, will take place at 12 p.m., while South Korea and UAE will slug it out for all the marbles in the main game at 4 p.m.
