MANILA—Jeron Teng is expected to be the first pick, while Jason Brickman is the likely second pick in the PBA D-League Draft on Tuesday at the PBA Café in Pasig.
AMA, which owns the first pick, already made its intention on using it for the two-time UAAP Finals MVP, although it is possible that the team will use the pick on the former Malaysia Dragon instead.
Tanduay has the outright shot at nabbing Brickman with the number two pick if AMA sticks with the Teng selection but can also choose from the likes of Monbert Arong, Jom Sollano, Robbie Herndon, and Mac-Mac Tallo.
Racal will pick third, while Café France-CEU will select fourth. Café France's pick, however, will come from the three Scorpions that will be elevated to the D-League team. In fact, Café France's first three rounds will be devoted for the CEU players.
Also prioritizing their own players in the draft are school-based squads Cignal-San Beda, JRU, and MLQU, which are allowed to take at least six players from their respective rosters during the past college basketball season.
Batangas, on the other hand, will join Cignal, JRU, and MLQU in a draft lottery immediately preceding the draft proper before it can fill its roster.
Malaysia, representing Blu anew, will not participate in the draft.
