MANILA--Dugout Philippines has always been a collection of people dedicated on bringing the fun and excitement of anything sports related into the browsers of our avid viewers.
As Filipinos, it seems imbedded into our very being to be passionate about sports, whether it be our alma maters little league games, supporting our favorite PBA team, going crazy over every AZKALS goal, or even as small as our inter-barangay games.
We love to live in the moment, and sports itself is a culmination of multiple moments that bring together a complete set of emotions, whether they be tears of joy or the pain of losing to our rivals.

This past Dec 17, Dugout Philippines decided to bring its passion for sports to a different level.
DPH teamed up with Youth Sports Advocacy to bring an event filled with fun activities and gifts to the kids of Marikina’s Malanday Elementary School.
YSA believes that sports is an avenue which can help lead kids into better lives. Together, the organization believe that if we can bring a little passion for sports into the lives of these kids, we can help them keep healthy and keep them busy away from the troublesome values of brought about by living in the streets.

The event started with a “larong pambata” with variations on the classic tag or habul-habulan, the losing team needing to do push-ups.
After which the groups were divided into their different sports mainly soccer, volleyball, and basketball.
In the end everyone was a winner with all participants receiving medals and certificates.
The event ended by giving the kids a surprise gift, these being footballs, basketballs, and volleyballs. The event wanted a lasting impression on these kids. The balls were given out as an early Christmas gift for the kids of Malanday Elementary school so that they can bring this new-found passion for the sport straight into their homes.

Nothing feels as good as giving back to the community and Dugout PH showcased this with its participation in the event. It was truly a magical Christmas, and there is a bright future ahead of them.
