MANILA--Green Archers United created the first massive shock to the inaugural Women's League as they upset a more fancied FEU side, 3-1, on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The alumni outfit of Elvin Marcellana blitzed the younger Lady Tamaraws and were duly rewarded in the first half courtesy of Jill Panganiban (23'), Alisha Del Campo (40'), and Anicka Castañeda (45+1').

Let Dimzon's side pulled one back ten minutes at the restart thru Bia Requerne but their lack of discipline, punctuated by the dismissal of Jovelle Sudaria nine minutes before full time, killed their golden chance to come back.

With the upset, GAU leapfrogged past UP at third on goal difference, although the latter is playing Kaya as of press time.
