PASAY--Carlo Lastimosa is NLEX's leading scorer entering Wednesday night, averaging 13.8 points a game.
However, Lastimosa was shut down against Phoenix at the Cuneta Astrodome, only finishing with three points after 10:34 of playing time on a dismal 1-of-7 shooting.
The off night was very pivotal as the Road Warriors' slim playoff hopes were dashed by a 91-102 defeat to the Fuel Masters.

Lastimosa, in an interview with Dugout Philippines, was quick to take full responsibility for the loss.
"I take the blame. Marami akong mali sa game na yun. Kasalanan ko," the six-foot gunner said.
Discussing further about the defeat, Lastimosa continued, "It's not my day. Mas OK na siguro na hindi na ako pinaglaro [sa huli]."
However, Lastimosa also believes that NLEX is not yet cohesive as a unit.
"Hindi lang talaga nagki-click pa. Wala pa kami sa level na kaya na naming mag-compete. We have the equipment naman eh. It's not just our conference," he further said.
In the end, he remains positive that the Road Warriors will see the end of the tunnel.
"Darating din kami sa point na kami naman ang nasa itaas. We'll get there for sure," Lastimosa said.
