Cignal mauls Batangas for third straight win

PASIG--Cignal-San Beda blew past Batangas, 95-68, to score its third straight win in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena on Monday.

Cignal outscored Batangas, 31-12, in the second quarter and never looked back to force a three-way tie for second place at 3-1.

Robert Bolick fired 19 points, while Byron Villarias added 13 for Cignal. Both players combined for 16 in the second period.

Cedrick Ablaza tallied 16 markers for Batangas, which slipped to 1-4.

Dan Sara contributed six points for Batangas in his first game against his collegiate team that he helped win last year's NCAA title.
