SAN JUAN-- La Salle grabbed a share of second place as the defending champions made mincemeat of winless Adamson, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15, in the second game of Wednesday's UAAP LXXIX women's volleyball action Feb. 23 at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Kim Kianna Dy pounded in 15 points on 10 kills for the Lady Spikers, winners of two straight to tie bitter rivals Ateneo in second with a 4-1 record.

Similar to its straight-set demolition of National University on Sunday, DLSU went on ballistic mode early to take the match in just an hour and 13 minutes, slowing picking up the confidence it lost in their stinging loss to the undefeated UP Lady Maroons.

The Taft-based belles peppered the rebuilding Lady Falcons with 36 attack points and 11 service aces, while keeping AdU's offense in check with six blocks.

Fil-Nigerian sensation Aduke Ogunsaya continued her brilliant form as of late, cashing in 11 points highlighted by seven attacks, three aces, and a block point.

With the loss, the Lady Falcons joined University of the East in the cellar with a 05 card, while losing its 12th consecutive match dating back to last season.

Jessica Galanza topscored with seven points, even as Bernadette Flora got four.
