UAAP women's football kicks off tomorrow

A pair of local derbies highlight the opening day of UAAP women's football tournament that will kick off tomorrow afternoon as part of the league's tripleheader Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

With the PFF Women's League taking a lengthy break, all eyes on the five schools that waited for more than a year to battle for more than school pride and bragging rights.

Reigning UAAP queens UP will begin their title defense at 2PM where in they will take on Ateneo in their second Katipunan Derby wherein the Lady Maroons won by the slimmest of scorelines in their first encounter last Decemer 17 in league play, while FEU and UST play later at 6PM in a Sampaloc derby as last year's finalists La Salle took the first bye of the first round.

FEU and Adamson play the lone men's fixture in between the opening women's matches at 4PM.
