LOS BAÑOS--UP and La Salle will lock horns on Wednesday night for a share of the top spot in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

The Lady Maroons and the Lady Spikers are currently at 2-0 in the standings, but only one team after the 4 p.m. first serve will join the NU Lady Bulldogs in first place at an immaculate 3-0 record.

For UP, however, the team is now ready for its first acid test against no less than the defending champ.

"Ipapakita namin na mage-effort kami for every point. Lahat kami nagte-training for La Salle. Ita-try po namin ang best para manalo," said sophomore spiker Isa Molde.

In the first game, UST and UE try to score their first win of the season against each other at 2 p.m.

Their male counterparts will collide in the curtain-raiser of the quadruple-header at 8 a.m., while UP's men's volleyball squad will try to get a share of the lead with Ateneo in its 10 a.m. match-up against La Salle.
