QUEZON CITY -- UST overcame an early half-time deficit to beat an unlucky UE side to register their first three points to get their UAAP season back on track Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo field inside the campus of Ateneo De Manila University.

AJ Pasion and Ian De Castro gave their gaffer Marjo Allado a belated, yet perfect birthday present, displaying their poise and attitude to come back from a goal down for their first win of the season.

Jo Mallen could have compounded further misery to the season's host with a 10th minute header, but the Growling Tigers clawed their way back slowly and were rewarded four minutes before half-time, with the veteran Pasion leveled matters with a rebound.

De Castro then completed their comeback over the Red Warriors in the 58th minute, pouncing on his own miss from a Dionisio Busmion corner.

With the win, UST leapfrog Adamson, UE and NU who  to move out of the cellar of the table, while Fitch Arboleda's men in red are still stuck at sixth with a point.
