The Association
of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines recently held their election, a long
time coming after ABAP president Ricky Vargas offered to step down due to the
country’s dismal performance in last year’s Summer Olympics.
Nevertheless,
Vargas was reelected into the position he is currently holding, same with Chairman Manny Pangilinan.
Meanwhile, Rep Raul Daza was voted vice chairman
with Patrick Gregorio elected as vice president.
Atty. Oscar Moreno,
Jr was appointed treasurer and Ed Picson as secretary-general/executive
director.
On hand to witness
the event are are POC secretary-general Steve Hontiveros and PSC commissioner
Ramon Fernandez.
