MANILA--The Alaska Aces squeezed the struggling Mahindra Floodbusters, 98-92 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Wednesday evening.

The Aces had a hot opening and even had an 18-point lead, which they maintained by answering the Floodbusters' exchanges.

With the help of Sonny Thoss and Carl Cruz, Calvin Abueva mustered 17 points, six rebounds and two assists. Kevin Racal also contributed with eight points and seven rebounds off the bench in 25 minutes of action.

Both imports James White and Cory Jefferson each garnered 30 points for their team in a heated match-up of NBA-caliber imports.

The Mahindra Floodbusters shot way better than the opponent on overall field goal percentage and two-point percentage but lost the three-point battle as they eventually dropped the game.

The triumph for Alaska marks their third consecutive win and Mahindra's second loss.
