MANILA--La Salle-Lipa began its bid for back-to-back NBTC Division 2 championship on a high note, pummeling Isabela Colleges, 61-42, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Monday.
La Salle-Lipa limited IC to only four points in the second quarter, which turned out to be the deciding factor.
Lawrence Platon led the charge for La Salle-Lipa with 14 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks, and three steals, while Aeron Lupac added 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
Gabriel Felebrico led IC with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
In the other Division 2 plays, St. Joseph's bounced back from its loss earlier Monday to Notre Dame of Midsayap after edging St. Louis, 65-60, while Calamba-based St. Benilde International turned back STI Malolos, 77-65.
In a Division 1 action, newly crowned UAAP juniors champion FEU-FERN whipped Camp David of New Zealand, 81-53.
