MANILA--The Meralco Bolts marched their way into a 89-83 win against the enforced Rain or Shine Elasto Painters this Wednesday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

With the win, the Bolts sustained their immaculate-standing (4-0) at the top of the ongoing 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

The streaking Bolts doubled the Elasto Painters' assist tally and dished 18 contributing-markers against the 9 of Rain or Shine.

Sophomore Baser Amer proved his first All-Star selection by producing a triple-double knocking output of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Reinforcement Alex Stepheson also led the team with 21 points and 15 boards.

"We just executed our game plan very well tonight," Amer said in a post-game interview.

Meanwhile, the Elasto Painters was carried by their import Shawn Taggart. He sparked a 7-0 run, down by nine with less than a minute to go and made a crucial marker with 40.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter that brought them to within two in the dying moments.

Both teams will be back in action on Sunday evening at The Big Dome. The Elasto Painters will try to bounce back against the undefeated Alaska squad on 4:30 p.m. The Bolts will also try to upset the dominant Beermen on the highlight at 7 p.m.
