TNT brings in Amundson for Comm Cup debut against electrifying Meralco

MANILA--Former NBA veteran Lou Amundson will be TNT's import for the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Following a surprise fallout with original choice Denzel Bowles, the KaTropa summoned the journeyman power forward to become his replacement.

While listed in various websites at 6-feet-10, the PBA, as announced on Thursday, measured Amundson at six-feet-eight, well within the six-feet-nine height limit, making him eligible to play for TNT for its debut against Meralco at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Friday night at 7 p.m.

The KaTropa, however, will have to deal against a red-hot Bolts squad who started the conference 2-0 thanks to a solid local lineup with import Alex Stepheson giving way in scoring but making up for it in other aspects.

On the other hand, only one of NLEX and Mahindra will walk away with its first win in the tournament as they face off in the first game at 4:15 p.m.
