QUEZON CITY -- UST threw their hat in the Final Four ring with a comprehensive 2-0 blanking of UE to start their second round earlier in the afternoon at Ateneo's Moro Lorenzo pitch.

After a goalless first half, the Growling Tigers got their act in the second period, displaying their pedigree that was missing from last week's loss to NU to overtake the Bulldogs to fourth in the table by sweeping their fixtures with the Red Warriors.

Renz Gumban shoved the season hosts ahead five minutes into the restart with a diving header to finally defeat Frank Rieza.

Conrado Dimacali gave UST all three points with ten minutes left with a tight-angled effort into Rieza's near post to give Marjo Allado's men their third win with 10 points that tied them with NU but edged them on goal difference for the final postseason seat.
