QUEZON CITY -- UST came from a goal down twice to snatch a 2-2 draw to Ateneo in the lone UAAP Women's fixture earlier in the afternoon at the FEU-Diliman pitch.

Tin Cleofe and Charisa Lemoran answered Camille Rodriguez's strikes in both halves to rescue a point and in the process, gave unbeaten La Salle an early ticket to the final with three games to spare for the Lady Archers

The Tigresses had several early chances but Rianne Caparros was able to defend them well. The Lady Eagles also had a few but they were able to make it count n the 21st minute as the Ateneo skipper put a rebound from an earlier effort on the back of the net.

The lead suddenly put UST on the attack mode for the equalizer coming agonizingly close as Cleofe hit the bar in the 25th minute. The the miss did not dampen their hearts though as they were rewarded with their first equalizer t minutes into the first half’s injury time as Cleofe finally scored from an angle on a counter attack move restoring parity at the half.

The second half began with both teams crafting their respective chances in which Ateneo successfully converted two minutes before the hour mark by Rodriguez, as she coolly put the rebound past Nicole Reyes, giving her team the momentary advantage.

At this point UST did not relent and continued as they mounted a late pressure which was duly answered through Lemoran, who cleverly lobbed a shot past Caparros in the 83rd minute to rescue a dramatic pont for the season hosts who are still three points clear of their opposition in the table.
