MANILA--Raymond Almazan hopes that a Rain or Shine win could give him something to cheer about ahead of the Holy Week break.

"Sana manalo kami so we have a good break to spend our time sa families namin," said Almazan, whose Elasto Painters squad is on a slump.

The defending PBA Commissioner's Cup champions started the conference 3-0 but lost their last two.

However, they can snap the skid on Wednesday night as they take on the Phoenix Fuel Masters at 7 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Phoenix, on the other hand, has its own struggles to snap as the team lost three of its last four games.

It is actually a twinbill pitting teams on a slump as in the curtain-raiser at 4:15 p.m., winless squads GlobalPort and NLEX will collide.

Both the Batang Pier and the Road Warriors are gunning for their first win that could give their now flickering campaign some daylight.

As part of the Holy Week commemoration, the league will not games on Good Friday and Black Saturday.
