MANILA -- League leaders Ateneo continued their dominance in the UAAP men's football tournament, swooping down Adamson convincingly with the biggest win of the season Saturday evening at the Rizal Memorial.

Four booters were on the scoresheet for Jaypee Merida in a 7-1 thrashing with the blonde-headed Jordan Jarvis was the main culprit in the onslaught with a hat-trick, as the Blue Eagles turned up the heat right from the opening whistle and never looked back for their ninth win of the season by completing their double against the skidding Falcons.

It took for the freshman just 30 seconds to pounce on a leaky Adamson backline, converting on a Christian Castillo cross from the right wing to open the floodgates.

The former U19 Azkal had to work for the next 39 minutes and 30 seconds before completing his brace from another right wing pass by Castillo as Jarvey Gayoso joined the scoring spree just before halftime to get the boys in blue home and hosed at the break with a 3-1 lead.

Despite Ejike Ugwoke pulling one back for the San Marcelino booters in the 65th minute, Ateneo just got them started to kick their attacking game into higher gear in the second half, with four goals in the span of fourteen minutes tore the grounded Adamson apart.

Just eight minutes after Ugwoke's lone consolation, Jarvis completed his hat-trick with a left-footed effort to gave the Blue Eagles all three points as they hiked their lead to 4-1.

With ten minutes left, Gayoso made it five after being found by Rupert Baña and he make no mistake of sneaking a low shot past an onrushing Carl Viray and into the net.

Baña himself turned goalscorer in the 83rd minute by tucking away a volleyed effort from close range off the fourth Castillo cross.

And with three minutes before full time, Castillo finally get the goal he deserves after having a hand in four of Ateneo's first six strikes, heading it home on an Enzo Ceniza outswinger to cap off an outstanding scoring spree.
