Cavs take Game 1 over Pacers, 109-108

MANILA--The seventh-seeded Indiana Pacers terrified the world champs Cleveland Cavaliers in the series opener in Cleveland, but LeBron James and his squad banked more plays down the stretch to seal a 109-108 victory and grabbing the 1-0 lead in the series.

The Pacers crawled from a double-digit trail and subsequently having a short-stint lead in the last minutes of the game. The Pacers had the chance to take the game with a shot with 5.6 secs left.

Paul George got the pass from inbound but was double-teamed by the Cavs. He initially passed the ball to offensive stalwart C.J. Miles on the right corner. Miles got an open look but he couldn't make it in.

George took the charge for the Pacers with 29 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, going 6-for-8 from 3-point range. Lance Stephenson added 16 points off the bench, while Teague had 15 points and four assists.

James was his usual brilliant self for Cleveland, finishing with a game-high 32 points, six rebounds, and 13 assists. Irving added 23 points and six assists, while Kevin Love chipped in 17 points for the Cavs.

The next game of the series is on Tuesday at 7 a.m. (Philippine Time).
