Ginebra stifles TNT in second half for fourth straight win

MANILA--Ginebra used a second half defensive juggernaut to pip TNT, 107-89, in the final game of the PBA Commissioner's Cup before the league goes on an All-Star break at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday night.

After conceding 61 points in the first half, the Barangay limited the KaTropa to only 28 the rest of the way while getting 52 points in the process to overturn a nine-point deficit to a lead as huge as 22.

Justin Brownlee once again showed the way for Ginebra, which won its fourth straight game, with 34 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and one steal.

LA Tenorio chipped in 21 points, three rebounds, six assists, and one steal, while Japeth Aguilar contributed 16 points, 14 rebounds, one assist, five blocks, and one steal.

Donte Greene led TNT with 28 markers, 15 boards, one dime, one swat, and one swipe.
