Kaya-Ceres rematch headline opening week of PFL

TAGUIG -- A rematch of the Cup Final two years ago will be the curtain raiser for the inaugural Philippines Football League season after the draw for the opening round was conducted at the grand launching night in Shangri-La at the Fort last Friday.

After the draw was made in alphabetical order, Kaya FC Makati will host Ceres-Negros in a replay of the 2015 UFL Cup final to open the new era of Philippine club football on the afternoon of May 6 at the University of Makati Stadium, while Stallion Laguna open their Biñan Football Stadium to Meralco Manila later in the evening

The following day, Ilocos United open ther Quirino Stadium to Davao Aguilas in a battle of the newcomers while JPV Marikina plays Global Cebu to cap off the first week of fixtures in the country's premier national league.

Both Kaya-Ceres and Ilocos-Davao match will be shown live on PTV-4 at 4PM.
