Racal forces decider in D-League finals versus Cignal

SAN JUAN, MM--Racal broke out in the second quarter to take Game 2 of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Finals through a 100-90 wire-to-wire win over Cignal-San Beda at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Monday night.

The Tile Masters outscored the Hawkeyes, 31-20, in the second period to open a 57-42 halftime.

Cignal would draw to as close as five, 62-67, midway through the third quarter, but Racal never wavered and rebuilt the double-digit edge for good.

Rey Nambatac led the Tile Masters, who sent the championship series to a rubber match on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, with 24 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Jackson added 20 points, 12 in the third quarter, 11 rebounds, and one assist.

Robert Bolick, who was named the conference MVP earlier Monday, led the Hawkeyes with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
