TNC failed in its first bid to snatch a Top 8 spot after bowing to Virtus Pro, 0-2, but finally secured it with a 2-1 victory over Digital Chaos.
TNC ended in a three-way tie with Invictus and OG for third place, but the Filipino quintet settled for the fourth seed following the breaking of ties, in which it had the second-best record in terms of total wins and losses.
TNC will take on the 13th-seeded Faceless in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday (Philippine Time).
