SAN JUAN, MM—Flying V fought back from a late eight-point deficit to force a 77-all stalemate against Arellano in the special attraction of Friday's FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup schedule at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Jeron Teng led the Thunder's late run to salvage the draw.

Flying V found itself down, 67-75, with 1:36 remaining.

But Teng scored five straight points to cut the gap down to three, 72-75, with 1:10 remaining.

Arellano failed to stretch the lead, and Eric Salamat tied the game, 75-all with a triple with 43.9 seconds to go.

The Thunder forced another stop, leading to Teng's go-ahead shot with 23.5 seconds left.

Ariel Aguilar, however, saved the Chiefs' cause with a layup with 10.9 seconds on the clock.

Teng had one more chance to give Flying V the win, but Kent Salado pulled off a huge block on him as time expired.

Teng still led Flying V with 19 points plus three rebounds, while Salamat added 13 points, three rebounds, eight assists, and four steals without a turnover.

Salado and Richard Abanes each chipped in 15 markers for Arellano.
