Gilas bludgeons Singapore for share of top spot

QUEZON CITY—Gilas Pilipinas once again showed its dominance in the Southeast Asian basketball scene with a 113-66 rout of Singapore in Day 2 of the SEABA Men's Championship at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night.

Gilas led from wire to wire to join fellow Day 2 winners Thailand and Indonesia at the top of the standings at 2-0.

Calvin Abueva and Allein Maliksi once again led Gilas with 16 and 14 points respectively.

Wong Wei Long tallied 12 markers for Singapore, which slipped to the bottom at 0-2.
