Indonesia banks on defense anew, blasts Malaysia

QUEZON CITY—Indonesia leaned again on its tough defense to maul Malaysia, 63-42, in the SEABA Men's Championship at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night.

The Indonesians limited the Malaysians to less than 10 points in the first and the fourth quarters en route to the blowout.

Abraham Grahita exploded for 26 points with three rebounds, one assist, and three steals for Indonesia, which joined Thailand at the top of the standings at 2-0 ahead of their anticipated matchup on Sunday.

Ting Chin Hong led Malaysia, which fell to 0-2, with 16 markers.
