MAKATI -- Kaya FC Makati nabbed their first win of the PFL season after grounding the Davao Aguilas in a heated and physical encounter earlier this evening at UMak.
It took a first-half assault for Noel Marcaida's men to take all three points to send the league's newcomers near the bottom of the pile as Jordan Mintah and Adam Reed conspired for a 2-0 win that shoved them up to second in the table for the moment, two points behind Meralco Manila who earlier beat JPV Marikina in Laguna.
Mintah drew first blood by scoring in the 16th minute and was responsible for the foul that led to the league's first ever dismissal on Davao skipper Jason Cordova in the 41st minute, in which Reed subsequently tucked in the spot kick a minute after that.
Reed himself was tossed for the harsh challenge in the 52nd minute, but it will not matter to them as the two-goal cushion was preserved despite their missed chances at full time.
