QUEZON CITY—For Japeth Aguilar, patience is the key to a hot scoring game.

"Patient lang talaga ako. Di ko nga hinahanap yung score eh. Kaso pag nakukuha ko, libre naman ako," Aguilar said after a perfect shooting game for Gilas against Thailand on Tuesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Aguilar made all of his 10 shots en route to a game-high 23 points in the 55-point blowout win by the Philippine side.

Aguilar has been one of the solid players for Gilas during the SEABA Men's Championship because of his inside game, which could make him the marked man for Gilas' last two games between Vietnam and Indonesia, which got a timely boost with Arki Wisnu and Jamarr Johnson finally cleared for action.

However, Aguilar said Gilas is ready for them.

"We have experience naman internationally. Isa pa, confident ako. Magpe-prepare talaga kami," vowed the Ginebra forward.
