MANILA--CJ Perez waxed hot as Lyceum bounced back from a stinging defeat to La Salle and downed JRU, 95-87, in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City on Monday night.
Perez paced the Pirates with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds with two assists and steal.
MJ Ayaay came close to his own double-double after ending up with 11 points and nine rebounds with five assists, one steal, and one block.
Wilson Baltazar dropped five of their 12 triples in the game and chipped in 19 points with one rebound and one steal.
Ervin Grospe made 21 markers and four assists for the Heavy Bombers, who suffered their first loss in the tournament.
Teytey Teodoro struggled in the game, only contributing five points in 22 minutes, although he grabbed five rebounds.
