Vietnam blasts Myanmar for first win

QUEZON CITY--Vietnam entered the win column of the SEABA Men's Championship after a 77-44 blowout of Myanmar at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night.

Despite giving up the first point of the game, the Vietnamese squad whipped the Burmese side from thereon.

Myanmar did put up a fight in the third quarter, limiting Vietnam to only 10 points, but the latter answered with 27 fourth quarter points to seal the outcome.

Van Hung Nguyen led Vietnam with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists, while Vu Linh Tran added 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Aung Wana fired 21 markers with four caroms, one dime, and three steals for Myanmar, which forced 36 turnovers on Vietnam.

Han Thein flirted with a triple-double after tallying eight points, eight rebounds, and seven steals with one assist and five blocks.
