MANDALUYONG—Canadian side Pylons blasted Bangkok, 6-1, in Day 2 of the Philippine Ice Hockey Tournament at the SM Megamall Skating Center on Thursday.

Michael Lambert's hat trick sparked Pylons' dominance over Bangkok in the 35-and-over division clash.

Lambert scored the opening goal for Pylons just 23 seconds while adding a second goal in the eighth minute.

Sean Connors and Roger Graham opened the second period with a goal each to stretch the lead to 4-0.

Chester Griffiths pulled one back for Bangkok with less than two minutes left in the second, but Connors took the goal back for Pylons to end the period for his brace even as Lambert sealed the win with a goal two minutes into the final frame.

Pylons joined Old Puckers, 8-1 winners over Islanders on opening night on Wednesday, at the top of the standings ahead of their showdown later Thursday.
