MANILA--Wang's has surprisingly become a contender in the PBA D-League Foundation if its budding winning run is to be considered.

Coach Pablo Lucas explains why: “Unlike before na may wall, ngayon naging isa na kami. Kita naman sa mata ng mga players na ayaw talaga nilang matalo eh.”

Fresh from a breakthrough 93-84 win against the Racal Alibaba on Monday, the Couriers now sets their sights on the other D-League Aspirants Cup finalists, the Cignal Hawkeyes.

Wang's looks to turn back another D-League giant in Cignal in their Foundation Cup showdown on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Now at 3-2, the Couriers try to further go up the D-League ladder and sustain what has become an impressive stint in the season-ending conference.

The Hawkeyes (5-2), on the other hand, look to keep in step in the race for a better seeding in the playoffs.

“We just have to be consistent and not be complacent in our coming games,” said Coach Boyet Fernandez.

But they may have to do it sans Davon Potts, who now needs to join his San Beda teammates as the NCAA will kick off on July 8.

Meanwhile, CEU looks to continue its own resurgence against the still winless AMA in a battle of collegiate teams at 5 p.m.
