AMA finally nails win, turns back slumping Gamboa

MANILA--AMA finally notched a win in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup, subduing Gamboa, 67-66, at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday.

Embons Bonleon scored the go-ahead free throw with 8.3 seconds left, while Daniel Salonga picked a JR Cawaling pass intended for Mark Montuano to help the Titans enter the win column while sending the Coffee Lovers to their fifth straight loss.

Bonleon led AMA with 16 points and three rebounds, while Jaycee Asuncion added 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Andre Paras finally notched a double-double in the conference after tallying 11 markers and 10 boards.

Playing Coach Leo Avenido paced Gamboa with 15 points and five rebounds, while Montuano had his own double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.

“Napakasarap,” Coach Mark Herrera revealed his feeling after the win.
