MANILA--The RP Junior Blu Girls finished 10th among 16 teams in the WSBC Junior Women's Softball Championship in Clearwater, USA.
They capped their stint in the tournament with a split of their assignments in the final day on Monday (Philippine Time).
The Junior Blu Girls repeated their dominance over Dominican Republic with a 2-0 win only to fell prey to Mexico, 3-5, in their final assignment.
ASAPHIL president Jean Henri Lhuillier, however, still lauded the team for its performance.
“The Junior Blu Girls did an excellent job in this tournament, finishing strong against some of the best teams in the world. Our players delivered and I know that, with the experience they gained from this competition, they will do even better in future matches. The team has been showing great promise and I know they can still improve their skills in time for upcoming competitions,” said Lhuillier.
