BIÑAN -- Stallion Laguna continued its gallop in the PFL table, notching their third straight win of the season with a nailbiting 1-0 triumph over cellar dwellers Ilocos United Wednesday afternoon at the Biñan Stadium.
It took a 70th minute winner by new signing Gabriele Mascazzini for Ernie Nierras' men to take their first legitimate home win of the season, extending their stay in sixth with ten points as they try to push for a Finals spot.
"We could have scored more, but a win is a win. Going forward, we need to improve certain aspects of the game, especially in the possession side of things," said an elated Nierras after the match, in which he praised the local contingent for a great outing.
