Laminou, Onwubere wreck havoc as Generals cool off Blazers for 1st win

By Ricky Manliguis

MANILA--Hamadou Laminou and Sidney Onwubere joined forces as Emilio Aguinaldo College opened its campaign with a bang as it feasted on College of Saint Benilde, 74-64, in Friday festivities of the NCAA Season 93 men's seniors basketball competitions at the  FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Despite coming off with a knee injury that kept him out in the preseason, the Cameroonian bigman issued monster numbers of 21 points and 13 rebounds with seven shot blocks.

Onwubere, meanwhile, chalked up an all-around game with 11 points, 14 boards, four assists, and three steals in the wire-to-wire EAC win.

Francis Munsayac also contributed with nine markers, while newly-acquired Jerome Garcia had eight.

No CSB player scored in double figures as the team failed to follow up its forfeiture win over Perpetual Help on Tuesday. Clement Leutcheu led the squad with nine markers and eight boards.
